The other day, Claire and I had a party... a PINK party... actually, a PINKALICIOUS party. A few blog posts ago, I mentioned how much Claire LOVES her Pinkalicious book. It is a story about a little girl who loves pink, eats TOO many pink cupcakes and wakes up one morning FABULOUSLY pink. Her mom takes her to the doctor who then tells her that she cannot eat anything that is pink (BOO), and can only eat things that are green (YUCK). This is Claire's FAVORITE page. She loves looking at the pictures of all the pink food.
We then had an idea... WE wanted to be pink too! We went to the grocery store and bought some pink goodies as well as rummaged through our kitchen for anything else that could possibly turn us a rosy hue. We set out some pink flowers, turned to the favorite page in her book and ATE! After every bite we took, we would ask each other if we had turned pink yet. At one point after a swig of pink lemonade, Claire exclaimed "MOM! YOU'RE PINK!!". I then looked at her and realized that SHE was pink too!! We were successful... we had some mother-daughter bonding time, ate a yummy pink lunch and used our imaginations. Please excuse us while we eat some green food to get us back to normal.
Patiently waiting to turn pink

You so creative! Claire is a lucky girl to have a mommy like you (the boys too!)
Hi Missi, I sure love your cute blog. Your family are so sweet. I have been reading your blog for awhile now. I am a member in Canada and love finding other members. You seem to have such fun ideas. I have a baby girl, who is totally going to get that book for her birthday. Thanks for your ideas.
So Fun! We had a pink party at our house with Ashley and her friends where, like yours, everything was pink. It was so fun. That's cute that you and Claire had a wonderful Pinkalicious party. Another fun Pink book that we love is "Fancy Nancy." So cute! It's a fave in our house.
