Tasty Train

When your child comes home from school with a flyer describing a big project that is due in 2 weeks, you automatically know that his project is really your project. Thank you, Mom, for all of the projects you did on my behalf throughout the years... it's my turn now. Every year at Dallin's elementary school, the Kindergarten classes participate in the "Polar Express". Each Kindergartner is supposed to make and decorate their own "train car". On Friday, they made one huge line and became the "Polar Express" train. Afterwords, they had hot chocolate and cookies. It really was cute.
Just when you think you did a good job, some other parent brings you back to reality with this:When I told Dallin I was writing his "Polar Express" blog post, he said "Mom, I have a good life." I asked him to tell me more. He went on to say that he gets to do lots of fun things (like make trains and parade them at school). It's true, and what a sweet boy to recognize it.
Life IS good.

I think your train is cuter! :)
And the nativity is precious. I love that the beard scared Claire. One year my brother-in-law dressed as Santa to read the "Teach the Children" story (you know the one about the symbols of Christmas) and his 1yr old daughter was just terrified of him. Kind of ruined the spirit of the moment but these are the best memories, right? Have a great Christmas. You are beautiful, as is your family. Such precious babes! I love Claire's tink pose. And your blog just makes me so happy.

Who seriously has time to make that train?...Crazy I say...ANd I agree, Dallin's was VERY cute. Dallin is so sweet, and I love that Jack has him for a friend. I missed being at the ugly sweater party, next year hopefully!:)

The train turned out sooooo cute. I can't believe all that you accomplished last week. I think that you need to write it down so in 10 years you will look back and wonder...how did I do that? You are amazing.

How did the kid even walk with that much train going on...Dallin looks cute as always. It is nice that he recognizes how blessed we all really are.
