Tonight for dinner, we had meatloaf and veggies. Neither of my solid-eating children were thrilled, but were told to eat it none-the-less. I asked who would like to say the prayer and Claire shot her hand up in the air and was very excited to say it. Here is how it proceeded:"Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this day. Thank you for THIS (pointing to the food in front of her)... I hate it. We love you. Amen."
I full on burst out in laughter after she called the food "this" in the most disgusted tone ever and I couldn't stop laughing after the hate it part. Dallin was pretty giggly himself. I appreciate that she was just being honest and I am glad she knows she can share her true feelings in prayer. Love my Claire-Bear.

Funny! Thanks for the laugh Claire. I bet it was hilarious in person! Nothing like a comment liket that to make your hard work feel unappreciated! My girls always say (upon the site of ANY unfamiliar food) "That's dis-gus-ting" with the wrinkled nose and truly mortified voice to match!
