I received a phone call from Pete on Thursday afternoon asking me if I wanted to spend the rest of the day in San Diego as a family. There is never any hesitation on my part when it comes to family escapes. He then proceeded to tell me that he scored Comic Con passes on eBay (they have been sold out for quite some time and Peter has been dying to go). My excitement for our family vacation diminished a little after finding out the reason for our escape (hey, I'm not gonna lie). He then asked me to find a hotel to stay in (okay, my excitement is back... I LOVE HOTELS). We quickly found our favorite San Diego hotel, got a great deal, packed up ALL of the stuff that is required for a simple one night stay and headed down to SD.
We unloaded our load in the room,
put on our cool Comic Con lanyards and walked to
the convention center.
I have to admit that it was quite amazing, overwhelming, crowded, and cool all wrapped up into one. Claire, however, exclaimed in the middle of it all
"This place is a little scary, Dad".
Although it may not have been the Waldron girls' cup of tea, it was worth every penny to see Peter and Dallin so stoked. At every turn there was some kind of super hero, some type of cool merchandise, some wild video montage... and then there was me, pushing what appeared to be the only stroller in the whole convention center (which was 4 football fields in length). It was definitely an experience. Dallin thoroughly enjoyed posing for pictures with some of his

What? No pictures of Twilight? Weren't they there? I thought I saw they were. You missed the best part, sister!
Okay Missi, you're going to think I'm a little insane here, but I was glancing through your Comic Con pictures kinda quickly, and for a second I thought that the Catwoman in that one picture was you.
Just about died.
You should do that sometime, though.
